The things that ought to be sold in stores!

I walk around the store and sometimes wonder...who is choosing the products that stores display on their shelves for me to buy? I know the person who chooses junior clothing is not a person who is a parent. I know the person involved in purchasing women's plus sizes is not plus size (I mean come on they think I want a 20" long tent with hideous large floral print just because I am a plus size), and I know the person choosing normal everyday household items is not a housekeeper. So the issue is this. I walk the isles of my local Wal-Mart and I wonder why the powers that be thinks that I want to purchase the same cheesy pictures on small squares of paper with a horrible lollipop attached for my children's school valentines. This year I want something better!!! This year I really think I will make a "useful" valentine for my children's classmates. But I am not sure where to start. The school does not allow homemade food items and I would love a healthy alternative to candy and sweets, but not too expensive...hmm let's see... This truly is a dilemma. I think I will have to dust off my sweing machine and make some cute bags where my children can place a small "useful" item in each one. I will go check out the store and see what ideas the terriblly uncreative corporate purchasers think are useful.

Normal

Once a month Maybe?
OK It has been over a month argh!!
OK
I will get down to it! I will be attempting to graduate in December with my Bachelor's degree in psychology from NSU. It has been crazy for me around here. I play on my computer entirely too much!! That said, I just wanted to touch base with my Bloggy. I have been feeling pretty normal lately. It's been almost 2 years since I felt normal. What is normal you ask? Well according to psychology it is the societal standard of the current culture. :) I am pretty happy with my family, stressed about finances and overall disgusted with the government. So I think I am normal.... You realize I wrote "think" perhaps my mind is not normal... Some think to normally think about... I just thought I would share my thoughts today.. I wonder if this is normal?

OK one more cool quote of inspiration -- "To some you are but one, but to one you are the world" Who is the one you are the world to? I have a few "someones" that I am the world to and it humbles me everyday.. :)

P.S. I did find the spell check so hopefully this one is spelled better.

OK Another Blog post!

Ok, I have not been on here is a while and it's not because I do not have a computer. My problem is that my blog is not very high on my priorities. but if I make it like my journal then maybe it will be updated more. I will share some cute sayings that I have heard recently.
At church here in Leesville the water system is tapped into a sulfur pocket and so that makes the water very sulduric tasting even with a filter. My children went with me to church yesterday evening and they played in the Nursery while I took the Census 2010 application test. They told me afterwards that they had gotten a drink from the water fountain at church and Natalie expressed here feelings about the taste of the water this way, "Momma, it tasted like I had sucked on 10,000 pennies for 12 minutes." Now is that not a specific explanation???

This morning on my way to drop the kids off at school I decided to sing show tunes to my kids. My daughter said that I seemed to be in a particularly "nerdy" mood. I just laughed and switched to "The Hills are Alive with the Sound of Music."

Oh yes, a classic one that I can not forget... when my sister Jessica was observing my oldest child as a 8 week old she noticed that Kimberly did not like to suck on her pacifier for very long. kimberly would begin to suck on it for a few seconds and then spit it out and cry. Jessica then suggested that someone needed to make a pcifier with milk in it, I calmly looked at her and said, "Jessica they did, it's called a bottle." needless to say we still pick on her about that one and she said it 11 years ago.

I really don't have a very good contribution today but these little tidbits are what I was thinking about!! Have a Great Day everyone!!

Tales of trees and tadpoles

Ok New post! Well yesterday I got to play with the chainsaw!! First time I ever used a chainsaw. I cut down most of the tree and hauled it to the pick up spot my mom helped. Then I hooked the hose up to the pool to drain IT AND WHEN I GOT IN TO UNPLUG IT there were lots and lots of tadpoles. I got a big 5 gallon bucket and put old swimming pool water in it and netted out hundreds of tadpoles. The girls came home yesterday and celebrated when they saw the tadpoles. This morning before school Kim had a Big pickle jar, Natalie had a quart size jar, and Rachel had a pint jar and they were full of swimming pool water and tadpoles. it was precious seeing my Kindergartner, 2nd grader and 6th grader proudly walking into school with their tadpoles or "guppies" as Natalie and Rachel call them. Anyways it was too adorably cute.
I had a birthday a few weeks ago and I got an awesome new camera so I will be making and posting some pictures to share on here.

HAHAHA!!!

It is I, The HUSBAND!!! My wife did not sign out while using the computer. I decided that it was time to put a new post on MY site, and when I logged in, low and behold, I see that I am now typing in Her SPOT!!! Hehehe! What should I say??? Good question.

My wife is not the concert going type. I don't think it's important to her. I never got to go as a kid to any concerts. I did see Richard Marx at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City one summer. That doesn't count. First REAL concert was just last year. I got to see the FANTASTIC GARTH BROOKS put on a near two and a half hour show! Only thing was that I went on my own. My wife was not able to go with me. Second of all, it was in Kansas City. He was only doing the concert there. Ended up doing 9 shows in nine nights. Tee shirts said, "the cat in the hat, has nine lives, in Kansas City!" If you ever see the Garth Brooks, One City, One Night concert on GAC, I was actually there!!! Way up top! If you want to see some pics, go to my page and I will post them!!! It was a great time though.

Well, I bring this up, because I am going to be going to see COLDPLAY in Houston, Texas in November!!! I really am excited about it. But I know that I will be even more so, when the time gets closer. But I am bringing Dawn with me this time. The Garth concert was fun, but I was all alone. I didn't have anyone with me to enjoy it. Dawn Loves Garth, and she likes Coldplay. So I am hoping that she will have a good time. I know I will. It'll be cool to actually know what they are singing. Garth, I knew some of it, but not all. The girl next to me at one point yelled "you're supposed to sing along!!!" I just shrugged my shoulders and smiled.

Well, that's enough of my time here! Check out my awesome BLOG at: http://cartoontesams.blogspot.com
to get the awesomeness to soak into your soul!!! Peace out Homies!!!
